Transforming the Park: From Existing Paths to a Living Network of Spaces
The park, which today is defined by five access axes converging toward a central square, is set to undergo a thoughtful transformation. The design reinterprets these axes as movement corridors, guiding visitors naturally through the space and connecting them to a series of new gathering poles.
At the heart of the proposal stands the main square in front of the statue of national hero Isa
Boletini, which becomes the park’s symbolic and functional center. A reflective water feature is added, enhancing the monument’s prominence and shaping a welcoming space for community gatherings.
Around this central point, several secondary poles are created: small play areas for children, shaded gathering corners, and functional spaces that serve the residents of the nearby buildings. Together, these elements transform the park into a lively and inclusive public space — one that balances movement and pause, play and reflection, history and daily life.
