NALT Hotel

The architectural concept of the “Nalt Hotel” project, located on “Studenti” Street in Shkodër, is founded on principles of contextual integration, optimal land utilization, and a thoughtful response to existing urban constraints. The design aims to deliver a contemporary and functional intervention that enhances the urban fabric.

The building is strategically positioned in alignment with the existing urban structures, maintaining a setback of 4 meters from adjacent buildings. This setback addresses the area's high density and ensures a balanced spatial relationship with its surroundings. The linear configuration of the volume reinforces the street front and establishes a strong urban presence along “Studenti” Street.

Given the narrow plot and its immediate proximity to neighboring structures, the project incorporates a solid party wall on one side. This design choice ensures privacy for adjacent properties while resolving spatial limitations functionally. In contrast, the street-facing façade is open and transparent, fostering a direct dialogue with the city and maximizing natural daylight within the interior spaces.

The main façade is treated with reflective elements and transparent glass, lending the building a contemporary and dynamic character. The reflections of the surrounding urban context become an integral part of the architecture itself, while the use of transparency emphasizes lightness and strengthens the visual connection with the public realm.
